No
matter the current size, health, or special circumstances of your
congregation . . .UULTI is for you! |
| |
| UULTI is... |
| |
| AN EXPERIENCE THAT REFLECTS THE
MULTIFACETED REALITY OF CONGREGATIONAL LIFE. |
| |
Since the challenges and opportunities of
leadership rarely present themselves in neat little packages,
UULTI provides an integrated experience where you:
 |
Join
with ministers, staff and lay leaders to create a shared
learning environment |
 |
Train
in one particular area of concentration (TRACKS). |
 |
Explore
the impact of five leadership perspectives (LENSES) on
your track training. |
 |
Learn
deeply from one another by meeting in Covenant Groups,
Home Teams and Cluster Teams, as well as during meals,
worship, vespers and social time. |
 |
Develop
a take-home plan with your home or cluster team that
integrates track and lens learnings (coaching
available). |
 |
Receive
post-institute training to help solidify your growth and
implement your take-home plan. |
|

PARTICIPANTS ENGAGE WITH ONE OF FIVE
LEARNING TRACKS.
 |
GOVERNANCE: Create effective and flexible structures
that fulfill the promise of your mission. |
 |
GROWTH:
Lead to and through change, reverse declines, break
through plateaus and grow beyond. |
 |
LIFESPAN FAITH DEVELOPMENT: Enhance faith and action
through religious education and small group ministry. |
 |
STEWARDSHIP: Spark the spiritual need to give; connect
individual responsibility to congregational mission. |
 |
WORSHIP
ARTS: Foster compelling, transcendent experiences.
Extend sacred space into all activities. |
|
ALL TRACKS address public witness, community outreach, social
justice and aspects of small, mid-sized and large congregations.
|
| |
| Experience lenses... |
| |
PARTICIPANTS VIEW TRACK LEARNINGS THROUGH
FIVE LENSES.
Multigenerational
Community ♦ Leading Change in Dynamic Congregational Systems ♦
Leadership As a Spiritual Path ♦ The History of UU Evangelism
and Social Action ♦ Anti-Racism, Anti-Oppression and Multi-Culturalism
UULTI is rooted in the values and stories
of our faith and our commitment to justice for all peoples.
Participants explore how these values and stories mesh with
their learning track and strengthen their own faith and actions.

| Work as a team... |
| |
CONGREGATIONS BENEFIT FROM COVENANTED TEAM
WORK.
No matter what your congregation is like - from small to large,
rural to urban, stable to transitioning, struggling to thriving,
or any congregation in between, team work is a vital component
of shared ministry. Did you send a team last year? Send the same
or a different team. Repeat tracks or select alternate ones.
Build a critical mass of leaders who share the UULTI experience.
Individuals from smaller congregations are encouraged (by
discounts!) to form geo-based learning teams.
UULTI is sponsored by a Team – the Northeast Regional Group (NRG
Co-op) of the UUA, which includes the Joseph Priestley, Metro
New York, Ohio-Meadville and St. Lawrence Districts. |
| |
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? |
 |
Lay Leaders
– officers, board members, committee chairs, treasurers. |
 |
Ministers –
full-time or part-time, settled, consulting, interim and
acting. |
 |
Staff –
religious educators, musicians, administrators, and
coordinators. |
 |
Teams –
congregational teams and individuals from smaller
congregations that form geo-based learning teams. |
|
| |
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? |
UULTI is a remarkable week-long residential
institute. Being immersed in this learning experience for this
extended period leads to a greater potential for personal
transformation. Its practical tools and powerful ideas help you
renew faith, embrace congregational growth and change, welcome and
nurture all, and “live the promise” of Unitarian Universalism in the
wider world. You can return to your congregation and help it grow
into a community of prophetic word and deed, a community “turned
outward in faith.”
